Rops/Fops
Roll-Over Protective Structures (ROPS) and Falling Object Protective Structures (FOPS) are structures whose primary purpose is to reduce the possibility of personnel from being crushed or otherwise injured should the vehicles in which they are being transported roll over or be struck by a falling object.
Truckline Services specialise in the design, testing, manufacturing, fitment, repair and certification of ROPS and FOPS for personnel transport vehicles in hazardous environments such as mines.
All Truckline Services’ ROPS and ROPS/FOPS structures are designed, destructively tested, manufactured, fitted and certified in accordance with ISO 3471:2008 and ISO 3449:2005. A certification plate displaying the relevant information is attached to each structure in accordance with the standards.
Truckline designed prototypes must complete destructive and other testing for ROPS and FOPS using independent testing centres such as Denel and Gerotek. These provide certification in accordance with recognized international standards.
As well as fabricating ROPS and FOPS structures, Truckline Services also carry out the repair, modification and certification of OEM ROPS and FOPS vehicles. This can include, for example, fabricate and certify material handling equipment and other products requiring lowering the cab height in order to gain greater clearance, widening cabs to accommodate extra seating and fully rebuilding old cabs all with certification back to the OEM relevant standard.
