Specialist Solutions
Truckline now has its own in-house plant to manufacture low pressure polyurethane injection moulded components. Outputs include Truckline’s own moulded safety seats which are produced and fitted inside the safety cab according to pre-determined customer specifications.
The high tech computerised equipment ensures that all critical components are produced to the highest levels of accuracy, reliability and quality.
Truckline’s in-house designated brake installation workshop fits “Fail to Safe” (Fail Safe) braking systems on underground vehicles. Truckline systems are certified to SANS 1589: 1994 and SANS 1589:2012 standards. They are also SABS approved to work in conjunction with Trucline’s AER-O-RYD™ ergonomic suspension. Truckline’s Fail to Safe system is penueumatic with a dual hydraulic system installed (air released spring appled). The company also does hydraulic disk brake conversions with either hydraulic or cable hand brakes.
Truckline conducts brake testing in-house and has its own fully equipped mobile service unit to do vehicle maintenance at the customer’s site. It is the only SIMRET (Turnkey) agent in Mpumalanga with staff trained and certified for SIMRET applications and installations.
An OEM vehicle equipped with a standard body has a suspension system which is unsuitable for a bus body designed specifically to transport passengers. The standard OEM suspension is so hard that passengers tend to complain about kidney and back problems.
Truckline’s AER-O-RYD™ is a unique, bolt on air suspension specifically for underground mining conditions.
It works in conjunction with pneumatic fail safe braking systems but does not interfere with any other of the vehicle systems.
Safety features include LED lights and gauges installed into the cab as an indication to the operator of any faults with the system.
Truckline Services utilises the world-leading Dassault Systemes’ 3D CAD Solidworks software
for its Truckline OEM and customer product development.
Solidworks reduces development costs by its ability to simulate solutions, resulting in more
designs and less rework.
In practical terms, Solidworks is ideal for Truckline’s business which is focused on steelwork,
bending panels and other mechanical engineering solutions.
